The Art
Rhys Bright
Rhys Bright is a 29-year-old illustrator and published author from Nottingham. He was tutored in the basic principles of drawing from a very early by his granddad, a commercial artist. At school Rhys excelled in both art and graphic design, achieving A-Levels in both disciplines before gaining his first creative role as a fashion print designer for Marks and Spencer, specialising in character design. Influenced by artists such as John Tenniel, Ralph Steadman, Charles Dana Gibson and Tim Burton to name a few, Rhys has produced illustrative work for a variety of clients on a freelance basis ranging from logo and brand development to merchandising and character development. Previous clients include Ford, Disney, Kellogg's, Nestle, Volvo, Tesco, ASDA, Next and many more. In 2019 he became a published author following the publication of the children's book 'Mr Snip' which was written and illustrated by Rhys.
