The Art
Farah Abbas
Farah Abbas is a multi-disciplinary artist, born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. She graduated from the faculty of fine art, graphics department in 2018 where she studied and mastered her illustration skills. Simultaneously, she worked in advertising where she learned how to conceptualize her work, taking it from a sketch to an illustration, ad or print that communicates and connects with people. Farah has also explored creative fields such as production design, working on sketching and building sets for ads, films and tv before returning to illustrating during the pandemic having been influenced greatly by her prior experiences resulting in her current art style. A big influence for Farah is the fashion designer and entrepreneur Virgil Abloh and she take huge inspiration from his unlimited creativity and ideation whatever the medium.
