Pedro Nekoi

Pedro Nekoi is a visual artist from Recife, Brazil now living in Sao Paulo. As a child Pedro found his way of creating his own world through his imagination and once his family got their first computer he found, in digital collage his way of changing the sense of reality and expressing who he was through his artwork. Using surrealistic themes, lots of colours and mixing elements that wouldn't naturally coexist with objects and interiors illustrations. Pedro sees each artwork as a different universe with its own reality he calls 'Nekoiland'. Inspired by Japanese pop culture, the Italian design group Memphis and surrealism his work represents his beliefs and his view of the world he wants to live in. In 2013 Pedro finished his Graphic Design Masters at the Federal Institute of Paraiba and since then has been working mixing visual arts, graphic design and art direction. Previous clients include Spotify, United Colors of Benneton, The Cut and The New York Times.
